Unhappy UW HM problem

Hi, currently I'am trapping the UW in NM alot but I wondered if it was also possible in HM

So I tried and the first problem I faced was that the aaxtes don't lose agro so easy while using Storm chaser. They still follow and manage to give me 2 hits while I try to run past them which lead to death.

Does anyone have a solution for this or is it just close to impossible to do HM?

use dodge, 33% movement speed should help you break aggro

hope that helped

[whirling defense] helps....plus if under the stairs, the mobs nearby should be touching ur aggro bubble...and pull with a longbow if that doesn't help...unless things have radically changed apart from the ew nerf, that used to always work for me

Well the problem is the run to the Smites. The grasping are no problem but when they are dead I use storm chaser to run past the aaxtes (no problem in NM the break agro imediatly) but in HM they just run after me both hit me one time and that does the trick...

am I totally lost, or are the traps not enough to kill the aataxes anymore? If so, can't you trap your way to the smites? If not, can u micro another trapper hero (even though they tend to aggro prematurely in such tight spaces)?

Assuming you are using a Trapping build for smites only; then no you are not going to have any luck in breaking aggro with Aatxes to get to the smites.

In HM all monsters have a built in 25% (or 33%, don't remember) speed boost. Unlike in NM when they have 0%.

In NM when you activated your Storm Chaser you moved 25% Faster than the Aatxes, which causes them to give up or "Break Aggro".

In HMwhen you activate your Storm Chaser, both you and the Aatxes are moving 25% Faster, which is like trying to run away from monsters normally without any speed buff.

Unless you use skills such as Dash, which gives you 50% Speed boost, you will not break aggro, mainly because there is not enough room to do so.

By the way; ecto drop rate is the same in NM and HM. If you really want to farm Smites in HM: bring a hero to help you kill the Aatxes, then flag him away so you have the Smites all to yourself.

First of all thanks for the comments .

I want to do HM because of the better drop rate on golds (which mean stormbows/eternalstuff golds).

I tried it with a hero now and it works pretty good
